Our Rome Day

Today we presented our Rome Reports. I dressed in my toga (actually a sheet tied with a rope belt) and made a wreath for my head. My report was on chariot races. I learned that the drivers carried a knife to cut them out of the chariot if there was a crash. Josh, Tyler, and Kaci brought in food for us to try. There was cheese, bread, grapes, and raisins and we had apple juice to drink. I also brought in some music that sounds like the horses hoofs hitting the ground during the chariot race.

I had so much fun at the Rome Presentation. Everybody's costumes and presentation were great! We also had some delicious food. I wonder if we're going to to another presentation with our next place.

Nick,
I bet the music was a great addition! Sounds like you all had a great time presenting your reports. P.S. Next time, invite me. :)

This looks like so much fun. It's fun to learn about historical events. And to dress up representing that time. I am glad, though, that we don't wear togas now. :)

I saw you guys dressed up that day and some of the kids were asking why you were wearing togas and wreaths. It reminded our class of our Greek pumpkins. When we studied Greece we learned that they wore the same kind of clothes, only they called them chitons. I bet you guys had so much fun!
